Operation Christmas Child is a project by Samaritan's Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization, that collects and delivers shoebox gifts to children in need around the world. The shoeboxes are filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other gifts, and are delivered through local churches. The project's mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with children and to demonstrate God's love to them in a tangible way.
Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered more than 220 million shoeboxes to children in over 170 countries and territories. For many children, the shoebox is their first gift ever. The project also offers a 12-lesson program that teaches children how to follow Christ and share him with others. Since 2009, more than 40.5 million children have enrolled in the program, and more than 20.2 million have decided to accept Jesus as their savior.
Human Trafficking Training
On Friday October 18th, at 6:30pm we will be partnering with Restoring Oaks and Ground Up Ministries to do a training on Human Trafficking, at DC3. Currently the United States has one of the highest occurrences of human trafficking in the world. Come and learn what human trafficking is, who it effects, and what you can do.
